Canada Games

"LANG’s strategic approach and deep expertise in partnership development played a pivotal role in securing vital funding for Canada Games Park. Their work ensures a strong foundation for future growth and community impact."

– Walter Sendzik, Mayor St. Catherines

Overview

Canada Games Park, a 26-acre, 210,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose sports and community facility, was built as a lasting legacy of the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games. Designed to unite the region’s 12 diverse communities, the park promotes health, wellness, and an active lifestyle.

To support future development, the Canada Games Park Consortium sought an agency to secure $6 million in naming rights and partnerships. In a competitive post-pandemic market, they needed to position the park as a valuable investment for corporate partners. Following a rigorous RFP process, LANG was selected for its proven expertise in partnership strategy and sales.

LANG developed a strategic partnership framework by evaluating assets, analyzing market trends, and structuring industry-specific pricing. Tailored proposals were crafted to align with corporate objectives, and LANG led outreach and negotiations with national and international brands.

This approach secured $5.85 million in partnerships funding, nearly reaching the $6 million goal. A total of 40 naming rights were sold, attracting corporate partners and community foundations, ensuring the park’s long-term growth and sustainability.
